from 6 reviewsA well designed, well sized table that's a pleasure to use. The lower sections of the tables (i.e., the black, smooth parts in the photos) are metal, and all the parts you're going to play on/lean on/touch most often are wood. They're built like a rock -- almost no movement with the Ticket to Ride Disaster test (with a full post-game TTR board, hammer on the side rail of the table and see what happens) -- and the removable playmat is a great idea (and the surface below the playmat is nice enough that you won't mind playing without it). Not the nicest woodwork I've ever seen in a table -- the finish work leans more towards durable than beautiful -- but those tables were at least 5x the price (and weren't as nice to play on).
Really, the only complaint I have is that I wish the cupholders were deeper because I am a klutz and need all the disaster avoidance help I can get. (That said, I can vouch that all the surfaces of the tables clean up perfectly, including the playmat.)
I helped answer some questions for the company a while back about what we would want in a game table as an Friendly Local Game Store. Durability was key, as well as the ability to partner with the company to sell tables.
They have delivered in spades! I got a couple of these in just last week and I must say, as someone who has assembled and tested multiple game tables this is the best I've seen for the price. Seriously, the sturdiness is second to none. The finish looks good enough to eat. And the play surface is just plain elegant - no bouncy bottom like I've seen on other tables.
I've shown off the tables to many of my customers, some of whom own gaming tables, some who are in the market, and some who hadn't even thought of getting one. The response was always positive and I've got several customers ready to pick them up once I have them in hand.
Yes, they are a new company. But they are the real deal. You can find our information in the dealer locator - if you're in the Pittsburgh area stop by and see it in person. It truly does not disappoint.
(Pictures are from the table set up in our store's Puzzle Nook showing off my personal favorite RPG - The One Ring. Just looking at them makes me want to play!)
I love that they put together a killer starter accessory bundle for 4 seats. It’s the right amount of everything you need to get going without feeling overwhelmed. The magnetic tracks keep everything organized, and the solid oak accessories are top-notch. It really adds to the overall experience and makes game nights even better.
We don't have room for a big gaming table in our condo but the square Pangea table fits perfectly! It has a full 3 foot by 3 foot playing area which is more than enough room for us! Absolutely love this table!
I purchased from them back when they were 33 Robots liquidated TOUG and they were great to work with! Answered all my questions and shipped fast. They mentioned they were getting into the design space over a year ago and I've been waiting to see what they cooked up and they did not disappoint! These new tables are sick! We received the 3x5 last week and the quality is night and day from my previous table. We're so excited!
I was lucky enough to be part of the beta group for the Pangea Table, and let me tell you, this thing is stout. Way more stout than I expected, especially for the price. For example, the vault table surface is actually a solid table surface, not one of those thin, flexible boards you find on other gaming tables. You could literally do jumping jacks on this table. It also has a nice weight to it, so it doesn’t budge, and we haven’t had any issues with game resets from someone bumping into the table.
It features magnetic accessory rails, which are becoming more common on gaming tables, so there’s probably some cross-compatibility with other tables, though I haven’t tested that yet. Another big plus with Zola is that the accessories aren’t going to break the piggy bank. Just about everything comes in two packs at half the price of single items from other gaming table makers. And they didn’t skimp on build—these accessories are all solid oak, and the magnetic connectors are solid too.
Overall, I’m extremely impressed and couldn’t be happier and highly recommend Zola's Pangea Gaming Table!
